The Work Rooms offer a wide variety of services to the public, all of which are free of charge!

Internet access for job search, resume writing and career research

Internet enabled workstations provide easy access to online job banks, resume writing and career planning tools.

The Work Room coordinators can also help you develop effective cover letters and resumes for your job search.

Multimedia career planning tools

The Work Rooms are licensed to provide Career Cruising.  This is an online career planning tool that assists people who are unsure of their career plans and/or wish to research what types of  jobs may suit them. Available in English and French!

Listed in the right hand column are some of the workshops and career planning tools that can be accessed through the Work Rooms. Many individuals, groups and community agencies request training seminars and presentations on many career-related topics.  With advance notice, we cancustomize a workshop or presentation to meet your needs.

One-on-one consultation to help you find the answers you are looking for!

Each Work Room has a dedicated resource centre coordinator.  We have an unqiue personalized approach to help you find information that will support your job search and career plans.

What do the coloured blocks mean?
Scheduled appointments with Work Room Coordinators. Centres are open to the public for self service and assistance from admin support, but appointments are required for consulatation with coordinators. Please call for an appointment.
Program delivery. In school presentations, meetings with the business community, community workshops. Centres are open but please call ahead for centre availability as it may be in use.
Drop In. The centres are open for students and members of the public to drop in without an appointment. The Work Room Coordinators and adminisration staff are available for one-on-one consultation.
Closed. The centres are closed on weekends and statuatory holidays. In the event of a particular centre being closed, a notification will be posted on this website.
 
The PACE (Plan to Achieve Career Excellence)career planning system is available as a workshop series for students and members of the public who are developing the next step in their career plans. It is also available as a workshop to provide parents with free resources they can use with their children.                                                                            More information/sign up
Career Cruising is an online, interactive career resource designed for people of all ages.  You  can use it to find a career that matches your interests, explore different career options, or plan future education and training.
